The WLTSA (Western Lakes Teaching School Alliance) is committed to offering high quality leadership development in this region of Cumbria.
The Western Lakes Teaching School Alliance is working in partnership with the Best Practice Network and has been successful in setting up a Hub School at Keswick School for the delivery of the National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH), National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL) and the National Qualification for Middle Leadership (NPQML). We have joined the Outstanding Leadership Partnership as a delivery partner and our first NPQML course began in February 2018 with a full uptake of places.
We began running our first NPQSL and NPQH courses in September 2018. The majority of the course content is accessed online with face to face days being held locally at Keswick School.
This year’s programme will begin on Friday 3rd May at the Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership, Redhills, Penrith Cumbria, CA11 0DT. We have a full intake of 28 delegates. We will be recruiting for our next programme which will begin in May 2020 in the Autumn term 2019.

Colleagues have also contacted me regarding the NPQEL (National Professional Qualification for Executive Leadership) programme which is held at a central venue in the North of England but not at Keswick, unfortunately!
