If your school registers you as an NQT, we will ensure that experienced leaders from our Alliance Schools will be assigned to you and your school to ensure you have full support and advice and that all statutory guidelines are followed. You will be given a complete NQT Induction Handbook.

WLTSA is hosting a highly successful (100% good or very good satisfaction rating Autumn 2018) Primary CPD for NQTs for the sixth year. 6 Modules are delivered over 3 days facilitated by experienced primary teachers and senior leaders over this academic year. This training is available for all NQT’s in West Cumbrian Schools. For more information please use this booking form.
WLTSA hosted a Secondary NQT Conference at West Lakes Academy on Friday 12th October 2018 covering *Behaviour management *Time management *Marking and feedback. Feedback was very positive with 97% of delegates finding the training highly effective.
Our next conference will be held at Mayfield School, Whitehaven at their new campus on Wednesday 27th March 2019. Topics will be SEND based and will include:
- Sensory dance
- ASD Awareness
- BEH Management
- Writing IEP’s
The conference will run from 1.30 p.m. to 4.00 p.m. A booking form will available on this website towards the end of January 2019.
There will be a third conference held at the Energy Coast UTC on Friday 28th June. More details will be posted soon.
