NQT Assessment Form First Second or InterimThe Western Lakes Teaching School Alliance is an Appropriate Body for Statutory Induction and provides support for Newly Qualified Teachers.

If your school registers you as an NQT, we will ensure that experienced leaders from our Alliance Schools will be assigned to you and your school to ensure you have full support and advice and that all statutory guidelines are followed. You will be given a complete NQT Induction Handbook.

WLTSA is hosting Primary CPD for NQTs and RQTs for the third year. 6 Modules are delivered over 3 days facilitated by experienced primary teachers and senior leaders over this academic year. Please note that for newly qualified teachers who start on a full time basis for academic year 2016-17, assessment forms will need to be sent to us by the deadlines below:

Autumn Term 2016 – 9 December 2016
Spring Term 2017 – 31 March 2017
Summer Term 2017 – 14 July 2017

What is School Direct?

School Direct is a direct route into teaching, where successful applicants can follow a PGCE (with QTS) course. The main difference to the traditional PGCE course is that you will do a significant amount of your training within a school.
